1. Mom’s help shape us into the people we are today
From the moment we enter the world, our mom is a part of our life. They raise us and teach us all about life. We look to them for advice, guidance, and to be role models. Even if you don’t realize it, many of your habits, actions, and passions are likely shaped by your mom. Think about it for a second. What your favorite food? Your mom probably cooked or fed that to you. It can’t be overstated how much a mom can shape who you are. Be proud of that and celebrate your mom.
2. Moms are superheroes
When you need something, your mom has your back - They are superheroes in disguise. On a more serious note, moms can play an even greater superhero role in the life of someone who identifies as LGBTQ+. A new study from the Trevor Project shows that just one accepting adult can reduce the risk of suicide attempts by 40%. The acceptance from our moms can really have an impact on our lives. For that, moms are definitely superheroes.
3. Mom’s love is incomparable to anyone else
Last but not least, a mom’s love is truly special. The bond you share with your mom is different than any other type of love. Sometimes it’s tough love, sometimes it is too much love, but at the end of the day, the unconditional love we share with our moms is truly incredible. Never take this love for granted and go give your mom a big hug.
